Description
I believe this plate is Japanese but not sure. It is hand painted in bright vivid colors with a gold design around the edge. There is a maker’s mark on the back of the plate however; I was not able to identify its place of origin. The plate shows wear with scratches on it but has no cracks or chips. It was made about or before 1940’s. The red flowers and leaves are of a plant that is found in Japan. The plate may have been part of a bigger set. This plate is Porcelain.
