Hand-Carved Alabaster Brown Bear Sculpture

Description

This collectible Brown Bear was hand carved using a rock saw.  Some call the stone, brown Onyx, or brown  Marble which ever stone name is used, they are all in the same rock category and all three of these stone can be found in Mexico.  There are no maker’s marks or signature on the brown bear. This beautiful Brown Bear with the cute little green eye’s carved Brown Bear figurine is a good example of Mexican folk art.  It was in the 1960s sometime I think when the smaller Brown Bear were being made.  It is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, repairs, or stains.
